The only reason I actually made this page was to point out that the Japanese love to give speeches. Although they seem longer when you don`t understand them, they have speeches all the time. At my school, there are some people who just love to talk, and they just won`t stop.... how`s that for a header, really must have grabbed everyone`s attention.

This was a surprise Rotary conference pulled on me, but not for my surprise. It was on a Saturday morning... I was told on a Saturday morning. This screwed over my plans for the day, I have gotten used to this by now, so it was no problem. I kind of look forward to these Rotary things, because it gives me a chance to talk (complain with) to the other students.

After a lunch, we all went to the auditorium, which was quite large, and very full. In the aforementioned header, I said that the Japanese like to give speeches and basically talk a lot. Now I don`t know about anyone else, but if I were giving a speech, and half the people in the room were asleep, I would be a tad disconcerted. This was exactly the case. Derek (for the sake of not butchering his name, he will now be referred to as D) and I spent most of the time trying to count how many people were actually asleep. I have gotten used to trying to occupy my time during speeches, seeing as I don`t understand them.

After the speeches, we went into another room, which took some time to find, with D in the lead. When we found it, we took a test. I would be making an vast overstatement if I said I understood any of it. I asked if they would send us home if we didn`t pass the test, so far no plane tickets have been booked for me...
